Domenica Mary "Minnie" Johnson, age 77, of Johnstown, passed away on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013 at Albany Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born on May 21, 1935 in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Salvatore Melita and Carmelia Precopia Melita. Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She worked as an Expeditor for General Electric for over 25 years. Minnie was of the Catholic faith, a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church and the current Holy Trinity Parish. On June 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harold Johnson who passed on March 29, 2005. Mrs. Johnson is survived by one son Jeff Johnson and his wife Michelle of Great Mills, Maryland, one daughter Lisa Ann Johnson of Johnstown; four grandchildren Matthew Johnson, Coryn Johnson, Jeffrey M. Johnson and Abigail Ann Ryan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers Joseph Melita, Anthony Melita, Salvatore Melita, and Albert J. Melita and one sister Nina Coadeny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the spring at Holy Trinity Church, where interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions in Minnie's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown.
